This slot game uses coins, and you can also select the number of paylines so there's a great flexibility here even though the maximum bet is capped at €50. You can choose from 1 to 5 coins per payline, from 1 to 10 paylines, and the coin value can be from €0.01 to €1. This means that this is a penny slot as it can be played for €0.01, but you'll get only one payline for that and the variance would be very high. Minimum bet that covers all paylines is €0.10.

There are three main symbols in the game, and they already pay for two-of-a-kind. You'll only get half your stake back, but it's still something, and it reduces the variance of this slot game a bit. Prizes for three-of-a-kind aren't too good, up to 50 coins or 5x your bet, and for four-of-a-kind you can win 200 coins or 20x your bet. Five-of-a-kind can bring you a lot of money, as these three symbols pay 250, 500 and 1000 coins respectively, so that's 25x, 50x and 100x your bet. There are also five card symbols, and it's interesting to see that they too pay well for five-of-a-kind, as the prizes are from 100 to 150 coins, or 10x to 15x your bet. Not that far off from the high-win symbols. Wild is a paying symbol and you can get 5000 coins if you land all five.
This is a low variance paytable, or at least it looks like that on paper, but the win frequency in this game is very low and most spins are non-winning ones. This increases the variance to medium, but not more than that, as this game has a way of issuing enough wins to keep your balance around the same level you started with.
When you land three Ships on your reels, you'll trigger the free spins game, a really simple one. You'll get 10 free spins, and there will be a Golden Ship symbol that can land on your reels during the feature, and it's a Wild symbol. The free spins game can be re-triggered.
Graphics are excellent, and this is a great slot game for all fans of nautical themes, especially the very popular seafaring theme. Even the game console takes part in the theme, as all the buttons are styled to look like something that would belong to a 17th century sailing ship.
