When you load up the Stargate Megaways slot game, you might be taken back by the look and set-up. As promised, we are going to take a look at what the trail mechanic brings to the game. It is used as a way of launching the bonus features, with players needing to rack up consecutive cascading wins to trigger certain features and modifiers.
The trail feature has nine levels, and it moves up one with each win. The first set of modifiers kicks in when you hit five consecutive wins. One of the following modifiers is added at random when this happens:
- Random Wilds. Up to six wild symbols are added to the middle reels.
- Expanding Reels. This makes all 117,649 ways to win active.
- Wild Reel. Any one of reels 2-5 will become Wild.
- Mystery Symbols. As it says on the tin. Up to 10 mystery symbols are added to the reels, revealing the same symbol.
- Regenerate. This will remove all symbols from a spin and replace them with new ones.
The fun doesn’t stop there though. When players hit seven, eight, or nine consecutive cascades, they will trigger the Bonus Spins Round. Here, players will get to randomly pick a slot bonus that will be applied during the spins. There are seven available:
- Extra Spins. Players can get up to 25 extra spins.
- Win Multiplier. Added to wins during the round.
- Ways Increase. For this bonus, each spin will have more active ways to win than the last.
- Reincarnate. The Eye of Ra Symbol can reset the spin count.
- Expanding Wilds. When Wilds land on the middle reels, they can expand to fill the reel.
- Wild Gates. Additional Wilds are added to the horizontal reel.
- Cash Prizes. Cash prizes are rewarded before the round of up to 100x the player’s stake.
